My 29th birthday was on June 14th. Yes this post is a very late but better late than never, right?
First let me say THANK YOU for the bottom of my heart for all the birthday wishes, I truly felt on top of the world and loved. Days leading up to my birthday I was on an emotional roller-coaster, while 29 is a blessing when I was not supposed to live this long. All I seen was 30 and I like many have a plan for my life. I had an idea in my mind where I am supposed to be by 30. Realizing I was nowhere near where I want to be or planned to be. I started to freak out almost to the point of being depressed. While I am not where I want to be, I have to admit I am not where I use to be. I have very high expectations of myself and this life of mine. I believed by 30 I would be married with children by 32, owning my operating my own business. recently breaking up with a guy of more than 9 years and taking a financially hit, totally throw me off track. I have yet to accomplish the goals I have set but with kind words from my mentors I realized I still have time. Also I realized 30 was not the end of the world. I spent my birthday celebrating with family and friends, small gathering at my home. I absolutely love when I can get a room filled with all of my favorite people for laughs and an old fashion good time. The day after my birthday I partied with my sister poolside at Bagatelle Beach: Las Vegas' ultimate pool and day club. (Shout to my sister Kisha)

I understand totally! Sometimes you have to throw the timelines in the trash, and keep moving. Everything will come together when you least expect it.

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say Happy Birthday again. I am so glad that you had a wonderful birthday surrounded by your family. What a wonderful way to enjoy your special day by being with the ones you care about and love you the most. Just wanted to let you know that you can still accomplish all of the things you always wanted to do and have. We all have setbacks in life in which things don't go our way. I had a big setback in my life last year concerning my health. But you know what? I'm still here! My set back is now my setup. Be blessed and encouraged my friend.
